Our girls’ basketball team brought home an incredible win against Tolbert last night—such amazing teamwork and energy on the court!
Our boys’ team also played a great game, showing heart, hustle, and strong sportsmanship from start to finish.
And let’s not forget our fabulous cheerleading squad! Their spirit, dedication, and nonstop energy kept the crowd fired up all night. 💛📣

Downtown KC Library always has a blast hosting Guadalupe on these yearly reward trips! 😊📚 This year, a group of 25 students who have shown amazing enthusiasm for reading were selected to visit the Central Library in downtown KC.

The students were treated to hot cocoa at Mildred's, received a fascinating tour of the entire library led by a children and teen librarian, got to check out books to enjoy over Thanksgiving Break, and finished the day by watching Inside Out 2 in the library's theater — which used to be a bank vault! One of the most interesting parts of the tour was seeing the archives detailing the history of Guadalupe Centers.

Also — shout-out to the curious 6th grader who asked a question we’ve never gotten before! The library staff are now investigating the mystery of the glass panel on the vault door. If there’s an update, the 6th grade class at Guadalupe Centers Middle School will definitely get the credit! 🔍✨

We hope this field trip inspires even more love of reading and storytelling in our GCMS students. 💛

¡La Biblioteca del Centro de KC siempre la pasa increíble al recibir a Guadalupe en estos viajes de recompensa cada año! 😊📚

Este año, un grupo de 25 estudiantes que han demostrado un entusiasmo increíble por la lectura fue seleccionado para visitar la Biblioteca Central en el centro de KC.

Los estudiantes disfrutaron de chocolate caliente en Mildred's, recibieron un recorrido fascinante por toda la biblioteca guiado por un bibliotecario de niños y adolescentes, pudieron llevarse libros para disfrutar durante las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias, y terminaron el día viendo Inside Out 2 en el teatro de la biblioteca, ¡que solía ser una bóveda de banco! Una de las partes más interesantes del recorrido fue ver los archivos que detallan la historia de Guadalupe Centers.

Además, un reconocimiento especial para el curioso estudiante de 6º grado que hizo una pregunta que nunca antes habían recibido. El personal de la biblioteca ahora está investigando el misterio del panel de vidrio en la puerta de la bóveda. ¡Si hay alguna novedad, la clase de 6º grado de Guadalupe Centers Middle School definitivamente recibirá el crédito! 🔍✨

Esperamos que este viaje educativo inspire aún más amor por la lectura y la narración de historias en nuestros estudiantes de GCMS. 💛
