Our Día de los Muertos altar is back in our middle school’s main hallway! 🕯️🧡 Students are welcome to bring photos of loved ones who have passed away and place them on the altar.
Together, we’ll honor their memories and celebrate the love and stories that keep them close to our hearts. 🌸

Our 7th- and 8th-grade student leaders participated in Green Dot training this week! 💚
They learned how to recognize bullying, speak up when something isn’t right, and identify trusted adults they can turn to for help.
Green Dot teaches three ways to respond:
D — Do something directly: Speak up by saying, “That’s not cool!”
O — Others can help: Reach out to a trusted adult or principal.
T — Talk about something else: Redirect the conversation to help prevent the situation from escalating.
Throughout the year, our student leaders will share this message with their classmates: At GCMS, everyone can be themselves, and everyone belongs! 💚
Join us Friday, October 23 at 5:00 p.m. for “Middle School and Substance Use: What Parents Need to Know.” We’ll talk about possible warning signs, how to start conversations at home, and where families can find support.
