Ms.Sellars

Ms. Sellars has been such a strong leader on our 5th grade summer school team this year. She took the lead in planning for the entire grade level and helped create lessons that blended our core curriculum with meaningful enrichment tied to the World Cup theme. This summer, 5th grade studied Argentina, and Ms. Sellars found so many creative ways to bring that learning to life for students through hands-on activities that kept them engaged and excited to come to class each day.

Throughout the summer, Ms. Sellars designed learning experiences that were both academically purposeful and fun. Students explored Argentina through activities like learning about The Tree of Hands, weaving and textile art, fraction quilting, and daily field journals. She has a real talent for making learning feel connected and memorable, and she consistently finds ways to weave creativity and the arts into what students are doing without ever losing sight of the academic goal.

What stands out most is the way she works with students. She builds strong relationships, holds kids to high expectations, and gives them the support they need to be successful. She brings a great balance of warmth, structure, creativity, and fun to her classroom, and it’s clear that everything she plans is rooted in what will help students learn most. She has had a huge impact on both her students and her team this summer.

Thank you Ms. Sellars!
