At Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools, we are committed to serving all families fairly and transparently. We understand that the enrollment process can feel confusing at times, and we want to make sure families have a clear understanding of how placements and waitlists are determined.

How Enrollment Works
Each year, all complete applications submitted on time are registered for review. When there are more applicants than available seats, a public lottery is held. This lottery is observed by a third party to ensure an unbiased process.

Enrollment Priorities
Placement on the waitlist and in the lottery is based on the following priorities:

1. Siblings of students currently enrolled

2. Students living in specific zip codes within our school boundaries

3. Children or grandchildren of GCCS faculty and staff

4. High-risk students as defined by state statute

5. Students referred through GCI Family Services

These priorities are designed to support our community while ensuring all families are treated equitably.

Waitlist Procedures

• Waitlist positions do not carry over from year to year.

• Families on the waitlist are responsible for keeping contact information up to date, including phone numbers, email, and an emergency contact.

• When a spot becomes available, the next family on the waitlist will be contacted by phone or email. Families have 72 hours to respond before the offer moves to the next student.

• As new students enroll, the waitlist automatically adjusts in accordance the priorities listed above.
