Biztown fieldtrip

Our Fifth-grade students recently visited Junior Achievement BizTown, where classroom learning came to life through a hands-on, real-world experience. Students stepped into real-world roles such as business employees, managers, and community leaders. It's more than just a field trip, it’s about stepping into real-world roles, building confidence, and discovering what it takes to work together as a team.

At BizTown, students ran businesses, managed bank accounts, and made decisions that impacted their simulated community. Each activity challenged them to think critically, communicate clearly, and solve problems—skills they will use both in school and beyond.

Students often share that experiences like this make learning exciting and meaningful. It’s a chance to try something new, see the connection between schoolwork and the real world, and take pride in their accomplishments.

For teachers and staff, watching students explore, collaborate, and succeed is a reminder of the curiosity and determination that make our Aztec community so strong. Opportunities like BizTown help students grow not just academically, but as confident, capable young leaders.

Congratulations to all our fifth graders for embracing the challenge and making the most of this hands-on learning experience! Let’s go, Aztecs!
