Parent Teacher Conferences will be happening next week on the 19th and 20th of March from 4:30-8:00 PM. These will be student led conferences with their Aztec teachers. These conferences will be by appointment only. Aztec teachers will be sending out a link to sign-up for your preferred appointment time this week. 📚✨ Our Family and Community Engagement Coordinators and High School Social Worker recently attended an inspiring cohort meeting that brought together school pantries to share valuable knowledge and strengthen their programs.
A huge thank you to School Smart KC for introducing Spark Wheel as the new partner overseeing school pantries, alongside Harvesters. Together, they’re helping us create a stronger support system for our students and families! 💪🧑🤝🧑
Last Friday, we celebrated the incredible writers of our Letters of Love and Letting Go competition! 💌 Our students poured their hearts onto the page, crafting thoughtful and powerful letters that showcased their creativity and growth as writers in English and Spanish!

El viernes pasado, celebramos a los increíbles escritores de nuestra competencia Cartas de amor y Dejar ir. 💌 Nuestros estudiantes pusieron todo su corazón en la página, creando cartas reflexivas y poderosas que mostraron su creatividad y crecimiento como escritores en inglés y español.

Coach Fountain and Coach Nielsen took the girls basketball team to a UMKC women's game last evening. Not only was the team announced over the PA system and the big screen, but they were invited to the court to scrimmage during halftime! The girls had a blast playing to the cheers of all in attendance and represented GCMS with great pride!
(Coaches Nielsen and Fountain were beaming, too. We love our awesome kiddos!!!)
La entrenadora Fountain y la entrenadora Nielsen llevaron al equipo de basketball a un partido de UMKC anoche. ¡No solo se anunció el equipo a través del sistema de megafonía y la pantalla grande, sino que también fueron invitados a la cancha para jugar durante el entretiempo! ¡Las niñas se divirtieron mucho jugando entre los aplausos de todos los asistentes y representaron a GCMS con gran orgullo!
