This week, we celebrated National School Choice Week by giving students a chance to share their voices! During lunch, students wrote about why they like their school, and their responses were thoughtful, joyful, and inspiring. 💙💛

Esta semana celebramos la Semana Nacional de la Libre Elección Escolar dando a los estudiantes la oportunidad de expresar sus opiniones. Durante el almuerzo, los estudiantes escribieron sobre por qué les gusta su escuela, y sus respuestas fueron reflexivas, alegres e inspiradoras. 💙💛
Desde profesores atentos hasta actividades divertidas y amistades, fue maravilloso ver lo que hace que nuestra escuela sea especial a través de los ojos de nuestros estudiantes. ¡Estamos orgullosos de ser un lugar donde los estudiantes se sienten apoyados, valorados y entusiasmados por aprender!

Mrs. Sellars’ students just wrapped up a Science unit on water conservation, and they did an amazing job. As part of their assignment, each student created an individual strategy to help conserve water. They designed posters and presented their ideas to the class.
Some of the creative strategies included taking shorter showers, not leaving the water running, and using rainwater to water plants. 🌱💧
Way to go, 5th graders!
Now they want to know: What are you doing to conserve water?

Los alumnos de la maestra Sellars acaban de terminar una unidad de Ciencias sobre la conservación del agua y lo hicieron de maravilla. Como parte de su tarea, cada alumno creó una estrategia individual para ayudar a conservar el agua. Diseñaron carteles y presentaron sus ideas a la clase.
Algunas de las estrategias creativas incluyeron ducharse más corto, no dejar correr el agua y usar agua de lluvia para regar las plantas. 🌱💧

Students explore colors and shapes, experiment with materials, and build creativity, confidence, and motor skills.
🎨 Grades 3–5:
Students refine techniques, create their own artwork, and express ideas in more complex ways through individual and collaborative projects.

Today was such a special day for our Pre-K students! Vamos KC and City Council members stopped by with donated toys and games for our students. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable!
