❤️ This school year, our weekly Food Pantry became much more than just food distribution… it became a source of support, hope, and connection for many of our school families.

Thanks to the incredible support of Harvesters and SparkWheel, we were able to provide assistance and care to our school community throughout the entire year.

During this school year, we served:

• 2,742 adults
• 2,568 children
• 201 seniors

✨ Impacting a total of 5,511 individuals.

Behind every number is a family, a story, and an opportunity to make a difference. We are incredibly proud of the meaningful impact this program had on our school community.

Our 5th Grade Blitz Soccer Tournament has become a proud tradition for our 5th Grade Aztecs! ⚽💙💛

This year’s tournament was incredibly close, with lots of teamwork, energy, and school spirit from every class. Students gave it their all on the field and showed amazing sportsmanship throughout the competition. 👏

A big congratulations to Mrs. Martinez’s class, The Vipers 🐾, for winning this year’s tournament! 🏆

We are so proud of ALL our 5th graders for making this event so exciting and memorable. What a great way to celebrate teamwork and Aztec pride! 🌟

From running games to teamwork activities and lots of laughter, our little Aztecs showed so much energy, excitement, and school spirit all day long. 💙💛

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating our amazing 5th Grade Aztecs at their Promotion Ceremony! 🎓💙💛

We continue to celebrate monthly the classes with the best attendance in each grade level. This time it was an exciting Glow Party! 🌟🕶️💡

Our students had so much fun glowing, dancing, and celebrating their commitment to coming to school every day. Regular attendance helps students learn, grow, build friendships, and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you to our amazing families for supporting the importance of attendance and helping our students show up ready to learn each day. A special thanks to our amazing Parent Teacher Organization for sponsoring these monthly parties throughout the year.

3rd-5th grade students celebrated all of their hard work and effort on the MAP state assessment by getting the chance to “Pie the Principals & Dean of Students!” 😆

There were lots of laughs, whipped cream, and unforgettable memories! We are so proud of our students for giving their best effort and showing determination during testing season. Great job, Aztecs! 💙💛

Guadalupe Centers Elementary welcomed back our Aztec seniors for their final walk through the campus where so many of their dreams first began. ❤️🎓

Our students and staff cheered them on with pride as they walked through the campus one last time before graduation. Seeing these seniors return reminded us all that hard work, perseverance, and determination truly pay off.

Our Pre-K graduation has already taken place, and it was a truly special and emotional moment. We celebrated our students’ achievements, their growth, and everything they have learned throughout this wonderful school year.

Underground Spirit Week

Last week, our school staff organized an Underground Spirit Week for our students.

And of course… the kids quickly came up with their creative theories:

“Is there a spy at the school?”🕵️‍♂️ “Why are there tourists in the hallways?” 🧳🏝️👒 “Why did my teacher come to school in pajamas?”🧸😴 “Twin Day!”👯 “Nothing matches!” 🚫👕.

It was all part of a week full of laughter, surprises, and lots of love from our staff for our students.
Because sometimes learning also includes unexpected fun, imagination… and a few confusing outfits.

We loved seeing the excitement in the students every day!

Semana Sorpresa de Espíritu Escolar (Underground Spirit Week)

La semana pasada, el personal de nuestra escuela organizó una Underground Spirit Week para nuestros estudiantes.

Y claro… los niños no tardaron en crear sus teorías tan creativas:

“¿Hay un espía en la escuela?”🕵️‍♂️ "¿Por qué hay turistas en los pasillos?”🧳🏝️👒 “¿Por qué mi maestro vino a la escuela en pijama?”🧸😴 “¡Día de gemelos!”👯 " ¡Nada combina!” 🚫👕.

Todo esto fue parte de una semana llena de risas, sorpresas y mucho cariño de nuestro personal hacia nuestros estudiantes.
Porque a veces aprender también incluye diversión inesperada, imaginación… y uno que otro outfit confuso.

¡Nos encantó ver la emoción de los estudiantes cada día!

Our 3rd grade students recently held their very own grade-level tournament to celebrate the end of an amazing school year! ⚽🎉

This special event was all about sportsmanship, teamwork, friendship, and creating lasting memories together. Students spent time during recess practicing, choosing team names and colors, creating chants, and making posters to proudly support their teams.

Even when classes were not playing, students continued the fun from the sidelines by cheering on their classmates, making friendship bracelets, enjoying snacks on blankets, and celebrating each other’s success. It was wonderful to see such positive energy, encouragement, and school spirit throughout the tournament! 💙

Congratulations to Mx. Miller’s class and Ms. Ramos’s class for making it to the finals! In the end, Ms. Ramos’s class took the championship win with a final score of 9-5! 🏆👏

What a fantastic experience for our students, and we are already excited to bring this tradition back again next year!

¡Nuestros alumnos de tercer grado celebraron recientemente su propio torneo de nivel de grado para festejar el fin de un año escolar increíble! ⚽🎉

Este evento especial giró en torno a la deportividad, el trabajo en equipo, la amistad y la creación conjunta de recuerdos imborrables. Los estudiantes dedicaron sus recreos a practicar, elegir los nombres y colores de sus equipos, inventar cánticos y elaborar carteles para apoyar con orgullo a sus compañeros.

Incluso cuando sus clases no estaban jugando, los alumnos continuaron la diversión desde las gradas animando a sus compañeros, haciendo pulseras de la amistad, disfrutando de aperitivos sobre mantas y celebrando los éxitos de los demás. ¡Fue maravilloso ver tanta energía positiva, tanto ánimo y tanto espíritu escolar a lo largo de todo el torneo! 💙

Our Volleyball Club wrapped up a successful season with a fun final match to close out the school year! 🏐🎉

Throughout the year, students worked hard, practiced teamwork, built friendships, and strengthened their volleyball skills. It was wonderful to see their growth, sportsmanship, and dedication both on and off the court.

Last week, our Pre-K students had a wonderful opportunity to visit the Kindergarten classrooms and get a glimpse of what to expect next school year! 🎒📚✨

During their visit, students explored Kindergarten classrooms, met teachers, and had the chance to ask questions about what learning in Kindergarten will be like. They also visited specials classes, the gym, and the cafeteria to become more familiar with their future school routines and environment.

Our little learners were excited, curious, and eager to learn more about this next big step in their educational journey. Experiences like these help students feel more confident and prepared as they transition to Kindergarten.

We are so proud of all the growth our Pre-K students have made this year and can’t wait to see them continue to shine next year! 💙


La semana pasada, nuestros alumnos de preescolar tuvieron una maravillosa oportunidad de visitar las aulas de kínder y hacerse una idea de lo que les espera el próximo año escolar. 🎒📚✨

Durante su visita, los estudiantes exploraron las aulas de kínder, conocieron a los maestros y tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas sobre cómo será el aprendizaje en esta etapa. También visitaron las clases especiales, el gimnasio y la cafetería para familiarizarse más con sus futuras rutinas escolares y con su nuevo entorno.

Nuestros pequeños alumnos se mostraron entusiasmados, curiosos y deseosos de aprender más sobre este gran paso en su trayectoria educativa. Experiencias como esta ayudan a los estudiantes a sentirse más seguros y preparados a medida que realizan la transición al kínder.

Happy Retirement, Sargent Crooks! 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated and honored Sargent Crooks for his years of dedication and service to Guadalupe Centers Elementary School and our community. Thank you for always helping keep our students, staff, and families safe while building positive relationships and bringing kindness, support, and smiles to our school each day. Today during specials, our students had a special visit from Ms. Irma Reyes from the Northeast Kansas City Public Library! She shared information about the FREE Summer Reading Program and encouraged students to continue reading throughout the summer. 📚☀️

Students can earn prizes while building their reading skills and exploring new books. We encourage all families to visit their nearest public library and get their children involved in this wonderful program.

Reading opens the door to knowledge, and knowledge is power! Let’s keep our students reading and learning all summer long. 💙

What a wonderful time we had at our School Carnival! 🎡🎉

A huge thank you to our amazing Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for organizing such a fun and memorable event for our families. We also want to thank our dedicated school staff, administrators and volunteers for their support in making the evening a success.

Events like these remind us how special our school community truly is. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! ❤️
