Welcome to the Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools' volunteer program! We greatly value the support and dedication of our volunteers in contributing to the success and growth of our students and school community. This page serves as a guide for all individuals interested in becoming involved in our various volunteer opportunities.

Types of Volunteer Participation

Community- Based Partnerships

Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to enhance our students' learning experiences.

Athletics/ Extracurricular Support

Assist in organizing and facilitating extracurricular activities and sports events

Student Mentorship

Guide and inspire students through mentorship, helping them achieve their full potential

Event Volunteer

Contribute to the success of school events, workshops, and special occasions.

Volunteer Interest

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form, which can be obtained from the school office, or accessed by the button below.

Embracing Diversity

We encourage both Spanish-speaking and English-speaking (as well as bilingual) volunteers to join us, as this diversity enriches the cultural experience for our students and families

Reading Volunteers Needed!

Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools is looking for individuals to join the Read to Lead Reading Mentoring program, which pairs you with a young student to help them read once a week. It’s easy and rewarding!

Please fill out the Read to Lead volunteer application. Once completed, you will be contacted by a Read to Lead Representative through email with the school-required background check.

Guidelines for Volunteering:

Certain guidelines must be followed when participating in opportunities at our schools.  

  • Sign-In: Upon arrival at the school, please sign in at the office to ensure accurate records of your presence.

  • Wear Identification: When provided, wear your volunteer button or name tag to help identify yourself within the school community.

  • Sign-Out: When you leave the school premises, remember to sign out at the office.

  • Return Identification: If you were given a volunteer button or name tag, kindly return it to the designated area before leaving.

Experience with Volunteers:

As a volunteer at GCCS you will be provided the following in order to ensure a successful experience in our schools

  • Events List: A comprehensive list of upcoming events, including dates and times, will be shared regularly.

  • School Operating Hours: Our school hours vary on location , Monday through Friday.

    • Guadalupe Centers Pre-K: 7:45 am - 2:35 pm

    • Guadalupe Centers Elementary School: 7:30 am - 2:35 pm

    • Guadalupe Centers Middle School: 8:40 am - 3:45 pm

    • Guadalupe Centers High School: 8:40 am - 3:45 pm

    Mission: Our mission is to educate and empower our school community by providing rigorous and engaging academic and cultural experiences.

    Vision: To prepare students to positively impact their community. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us achieve these goals.
